The "Il Girasole" country house is in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, in the large plain that separates Grosseto from the sea, where crops give the area bright colours in all seasons.
The facility, which is in the countryside, is just a few minutes from Castiglione della Pescaia, a resort famous for its beaches and for having the most beautiful sea in ​​Italy, which is invariably rewarded with a European blue flag. From this small fishing village it is possible to set off for excursions to the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, such as Giannutri, le Formiche, and Giglio.

Towards the south, instead, a few miles away, you will be able to visit the Maremma Regional Park, which is famous for its pristine flora and fauna, for its trekking, horse riding and bicycle routes, for its pine groves and the crystal blue sea at ​​Marina di Alberese and Cala Violina.

Still to the south, about a 30-minute drive away, you can reach Orbetello and its lagoon, as well as the Monte Argentario promontory.

Moving inland you cannot fail to visit the medieval villages of Scansano, which is famous for its Morellino wine and its many wine producers, and Magliano in Toscana.

In about forty minutes, you can go up the Fiora Valley to the Tufo Hills with the picturesque villages of Sorano and Pitigliano and the Sovana Etruscan necropolis. Still in the same area, the Terme di Saturnia - a spa known for its healing properties - is not to be missed.
